17.10.2008. Collaboration with Bookmakers started. / Ca persoană fizică autorizată (PFA) aș

dori o colaborare cu edituri în vederea publicării unor articole (în reviste), cărți științifice/de popularizare, etc. Tema principală sunt amfibienii și reptilele, dar nu numai. Am lucrat în astfel de proiecte - unele sunt în derulare. Trecutul meu pedagogic mă ajută să prezint într-un limbaj

adecvat grupului țintă (începând de la preșcolari în sus...). Limba: română, maghiară. / Román és magyar könykiadókkal keresek együttműküdést, tudományos nyelvezetű, népszerűsitő cikkek (folyóiratok), könyvek kiadása céljából. Vállal- kozói engedéllyel rendelkező fizikai személy vagyok (PFA). A kétéltűek és hüllők az ajánlott téma (de nemcsak). A cél korcsoportok: óvo- dástól felfele. Előzetes tapasztalatom és peda- gógiai múltam segit az igényelt nyelvezet kia- lakitásában. 13.10.2008. A BLOG dealing with problems in mass-media news regarding with amphibians and reptiles is started in Romanian. I try to give consultancy to mass-media workers in this mostly still misunderstood feature. / Am pornit un BLOG care adună relatările de pe net referitoare la amfibieni și reptile. Încerc un comentariu critic la adresa lor (ce depinde normal de puterile mele). Ofer și consultanță jurnaliștilor cu bun simț, care doresc să relateze adevăruri științifice și nu doar părerile personale, ideile preconcepute ale celor neavizați sau alte informații cu bază mitologică.

 

 

A new webpage [Natura 2000 - Situri herpetologice] dealing with the Natura 2000 sites for herpetofauna elements in Romania is started. The sites accepted by Romanian government and the sites proposed by NGO-s are compared. The site language is Romanian. The goal of the site is to improve a better collaboration between different scientists, institutes and NGO-s dealing with this still unresolved tema. 

 

 

My trips are linked as EXTERNAL REPORTS from the homepage of the EUROPEAN FIELD HERPING COMMUNITY, which probably will be developed in the largest photo & field report sharing area for European herpers. THE TRACHEMYS ADOPTION - ROMANIAN COALITION HAS A NEW WEBPAGE. the coalition was started by the AMPHIBIAN AND REPTILE PROTECTION WORKGROUP (MILVUS GROUP) and in present has as members different Romanian Herpetological groups (and not just). the coalition is dealing with the Trachemys problem in Romania, as in 7 counties the presence of the exotic species was proved. a comprehensive list with article dealing with this problem is uploaded!

DETERMINATOR BOOK OF ROMANIAN AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES

on this homepage you can see pages of a new bilingual determinator of amphibians and reptiles of Romania under preparation. partly the new determinator is uploaded version of the ONLINE IDENTIFICATION KEY OF ROMANIAN AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES from the MILVUS HOMEPAGE. the online identification keys made together with Komáromi István and with pictures from my friends, must be uploaded due to the recent taxonomic and nomenclature changes in this groups. the texts soon will be translated in English too!

13. [06.05.2008]: couple pictures with an European Pond Turtle (Emys orbicularis) specimen with interesting injuries are uploaded.

 

12. [01.05.2008]: my friend, Alex Strugariu shared with me couple picture with the Moldavian Meadow Viper (Vipera ursinii moldavica). Enjoy the pictures with the two Meadow Viper subspecies, which are living in Romania!

 

11. [29.04.2008]: some pictures uploaded with the recently discovered rare transylvanian Vipera ursinii rakosiensis. the location of this viper is secret do its vulnerable statement.

 

10. [19.03.2008]: a page with short reports from my friends is started. the first report is posted in the name of Borbála Szatmári about an interesting fishing day...

9. [11.03.2008]: a short report with the first saw amphibians is uploaded (of course in this year). and of course I will upload short reports from my further trips also.

WHAT'S NEW IN ROMANIAN HERPS?

5. Vipera nikolskii is a valid species? The existence of different venom components in this viper, compared with V. berus, could be a good reason for that. See Ramayanova et al. 2008 in Toxicon, 51(4): 524-37.

4. Triturus karelinii, a possible new newt taxon for Romania!? [Arntzen et al. 2007]

 

3. Mesotriton alpestris have two major clades in Romania, which seems to represent to different cryptic species. one occur in eastern Carpathians (western clade), the second in the rest of its distribution (eastern clade). the western clade was identified in Neamţ County, when the closest specimens from eastern clade in Făgăraşi Mountains. if the two forms is intergradating here or not (also where) is unknown. [Sotiropoulos et al. 2007]

 

2. V. b. nikolskii is a new taxon for Romania! the preliminary distribution area of V. b. nikolskii in Romania is situated in the territory between the Siret and the Prut rivers from Epureni and Larga vicinities (region Iasi) in the north to Bârlad vicinities (region Vaslui) in the south. interestingly, intermediate forms between V. b. berus and V. b. nikolskii have been found on external edge of

southern and eastern Carpathians (Vâlcea, Dâmboviţa, Covasna,

Vrancea, Neamţ and Suceava countys) [14th Ordinary General Meeting, Societas Europaea Herpetologica, Porto, Portugal, 2007].
